PEERLESS JAL CARBON PLANET
Thursday, May 13th, 2010

Peerless JAL is now offsetting 100% of its scope 1 & 2 Emissions Australia Wide. We believe this to be a big step in our continuing journey of fulfilling our responsibility to the environment as a Corporate Citizen.
Carbon Emissions are defined as emissions of: CO2, SF6, CH4, N2O, HFCs and PFC’s from the Company.
Scope 1 emission are all emissions from: Company Owned Vehicles, Fuel Combustion, refrigeration and explosives.
Scope 2: All purchased electricity.
This includes our production and operational emissions.
We undertook a study with a leading educational institution to calculate our emissions and have since identified a worthy cause to offset our emissions.
The project we have chosen has been Developed under the Kyoto Protocol’s Clean Development Mechanism, this project reduces the need for thermal power and cuts global C02 emissions by 40,000 tonnes per annum.
The Hubei Hefeng Yanzi Town ‘Baishun Village’ Taohuashan hydro station is a small run-off-river project developed under the Kyoto Protocol to help establish renewable sources of energy.
Commencing in April 2007 it uses state of the art environmentally friendly run-of-river hydro power technology, to maximise the reduction of Greenhouse Gas emissions.
The Baishun Village small hydro project was constructed using the latest run- off- river technology, without the environmental impact of older large projects, which are often considered unsustainable due to ecosystem destruction and the displacement of local inhabitants.
Small hydro projects such as Baishun Village produce no waste, no CO2 and are one of the most environmentally sustainable forms of electricity generation. These facts coupled with a very stable load factor make Hydro a perfect choice for electricity generation and Peerless JAL.
For companies and individuals, like us, working towards reducing their impact on the earth’s resources Peerless JAL is an ideal partner.
This was a long and challenging road for us to achieve but are very happy that we have done so for all of our stakeholders.

PEERLESS JAL KICKS A GOAL
Wednesday, December 20th, 2006
After only 7 weeks of having our administration building, warehouse and IT infrastructure completely decimated by fire, Peerless JAL have been re-certified to the Management Systems Standards AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 by Lloyd’s Register of Quality Assurance. This is testimony to the exceptional teamwork of all Peerless JAL Management and Staff and our commitment to quality customer service.
The report stated that even though Peerless JAL are still recovering from the fire, it is evident that all processes remained under control and that the temporary systems that have been established are adequate to provide continued customer satisfaction. The review revealed that the standard elements and site operations and temporary management procedures are also under effective control.
The appointed auditor expressed genuine surprise at the rate of recovery after such a devastating set back.
Well done all involved.
BUSINESS AS USUAL
Tuesday, November 14th, 2006
Management and Staff of Peerless JAL have been working extra hard lately replacing what was lost in the fire. It was all hands on deck with admin, warehouse and factory staff assisting in the clean-up and salvage endeavours.
Although there was disruption surrounding the Peerless JAL Preston site, chemical production on the small-line was well underway only days after the fire. As was the preparations for setting up the communication and IT areas.

FIRE AT PEERLESS JAL, PRESTON
Wednesday, November 1st, 2006
As you may be aware, Peerless JAL had a fire at its Preston facility on Tuesday 31 October 2006. The fire destroyed one of the warehouses and the administration building.
Whilst the communication and IT functions have been interrupted, production is in full swing to replace damaged stock.
Peerless JAL would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their offers of support. Hopefully any interruption to supply will be minor and apologies for any inconvenience caused.
